ICA’s grants to FIT (The Fund for Innovative Teaching) is used to encourage teachers to develop new pedagogical tools that will enable pupils to learn.
This mission is not an easy one and, when it comes to autistic pupils, the mission is twice as difficult.
In the Valley of Springs high school, an autistic class is integrated into the regular school stream, in an attempt to provide different ways to be part of the school society.
With a small grant ($4,000), the teachers developed pedagogical games and it was very exciting for me to join the teachers and pupils who were playing.
