Yesud HaMa’ala, established by ICA about a century ago, is located in the northern Galilee. It borders on the Hula Valley,
drained by ICA in the 1950’s. This operation proved to be a big mistake due to its contamination of Lake Kinneret. At present, Hula pond renewal is in process.
In order for pupils to observe the pond as part of the their scientific curriculum, ICA’s grant was used to build a meteorological hut, which is run on solar panels. The equipment also monitors the greenhouse that received an ICA grant last year.
I must add how absolutely amazing it was to see these young pupils using scientific tools.
